Appointment Book Rules - Reports and Utilities

In the new release (17.1.5) there is now access to Appointment Book Rules via the "Reports & Utilities" section of the Appointment Book.

The release notes say "Access to the Appointment Book Rules icon in the Appointment Book Reports & Utilities section is now controlled by the "System Information" user access setting."

Can someone please show me where this specific access control is, as I cannot, for the life of me, find it.  As of right now, everyone in our Practice has access to and can change, delete etc. appointment book rules - (insert stressed emoji here).

I know the access has always been there, but no one (except those who knew how to use it properly) really knew where to find it before.  Now it's right there, in the open. :(

Hi SydSportsMed. Quick access to Appointment Book Rules via the Reports and Utilities section of the Appointment Book is tied to System Information access.

This can be configured by logging in as the Admin user and selecting System > Security. The screenshot below highlights where this user access setting is:

Hi Timothy,

If you untick the system information option does this then remove access to everything in the reports and utilities section as we use that for cancellation information?

Thanks,
Naomi

Hi Tim,

One of my staff had her system information untick in her access setting and I found she can still access Appointment Book Rules from Reports & Utilities. Is there any reason for that? I have been trying to take that access off from her but unsucessful.

I think this button is better tucked away somewhere that only the people knows how to use it able to find it.

Hi Bing. Access to Appointment Book Rules via the Reports & Utilities section was restricted to users with System Information access in Front Desk version 17.1.5. Please ensure that you are running version 17.1.5 or later to see these changes.

Hi Tim,
Thanks for replying. I have upgraded FD to 18.0.0 which is the only one available on your website. So far not successful.

Before, I only had one staff that I couldn't take her off from accessing to the Appointment Book Rules. Now everyone can access to Appointment Book Rules even though all of them had this System Information unticked. Please refer to the image attached. On top you can see that there's no System Information icon but at the bottom, the Appointment Book Rules is visible.

Have I missed anything else?

Hi Bing. Thank you for your reply. We will investigate further to determine how this is occurring and will aim to resolve this in our next upgrade, which is due for release within the next week.
