appointment scheduler - appointment type

Could you please make it so that the appointment scheduler picks up the appointment type as well as the other information it carries over when scheduling appointments.

We have a number of clients who book every week/fortnight for the whole year and if we forget to manually select the appointment type it goes to our default which is not always the right one.

This then defeats the time saving function of appointment scheduling as we have to go and manually change each appt to the correct one.

Hi Rachel. Thank you for your feedback. I can confirm that when you right-click on an existing appointment and select Appointment Scheduler, your default appointment type is selected. We agree that it should use the details of the appointment you've selected to use the Appointment Scheduler, consistent with the Make Next Appointment feature. We will have this changed in the next version. 

In relation to deleting a large number of appointments that have been made using the Appointment Scheduler in error by not selecting the correct appointment type, we recommend deleting these appointments from the Appointments tab of the patient file. You can select multiple appointments in the list by holding down the control key on your keyboard while clicking each appointment. Once deleted, you can use the Appointment Scheduler to book the appointments correctly.

Hi Rachel. In Front Desk v18.1, when the Appointment Scheduler is opened by right-clicking on an appointment it will now use the correct follow-up appointment type for that appointment, or it will use the same appointment type as the appointment if no follow-ups have been set.

Please note that v18.1 includes the new billing engine, so it is important that you familiarise yourself with the Front Desk Accounting Update January 2018 document prior to updating your system.
