Front Desk users have access to two web-based add-ons at no extra cost: the Web Appointment Book and Insights Dashboard. Both tools are bundled together as a part of our Web Applications suite. Click here for Front Desk Web Applications installation instructions.

The Insights Dashboard provides Front Desk users with enterprise level business intelligence reporting functionality. This functionality allows users to monitor the health of their business using customisable widgets such as graphs, tables, KPIs and targets across many different scenarios. Once widgets are configured, your business intelligence information is readily available simply by logging into the Insights Dashboard. The full User Guide can be downloaded here.

To kick you off, let’s look at a few examples:

The following example presents total appointments for this week compared to last week:

The following example displays the percentage of appointment types this year:

In this example, you can see total appointments this month vs last month, with the variation displayed as a percentage:

Some ideas for other common widgets also include:
  • Financial or appointment comparison between this week and last week (or other date ranges)
  • Total new patient numbers clinic wide and per practitioner
  • Practitioner appointment book utilisation
  • Highest performing practitioners by appointments or billed amounts
  • Top item codes billed to patients
  • Income broken down by Fee Category
  • Total processed, cancelled, rescheduled and missed appointments for the day
