customising patient booking gateway emails

Would it be possible to add functionality to the PBG configuration where the automatic email confirming the booking is linked to appointment types

eg. a New women's health/continence patient needs to complete a couple of questionnaires for the practitioner PRIOR to the initial assessment. I would like to set up an email that would automatically send them relevant information regarding their appointment and instructions for  the questionnaires as well as attaching the questionnaires for them so they can complete them as needed.

At the moment, we have to manually monitor online bookings and call the patient to let them know we will send them an email with all the info mentioned above. This can be easily missed and takes up valuable admin time.

From what I can see on the PBG configuration, there is no option to add new auto emails, only editing and they are a blanket email for the various options and non customisable.

Another option for this could be in the System Information, Appointment Book, Appointment Types
  • Being able to automatically send an email alert based on the appointment type to a nominated email address (eg info@[practicename].com.au) to notify admin team of the booking under that appointment type at which time they should send the email with questionnaires etc.

Hi Rachel. Thank you for your suggestion. I can confirm that assigning a specific appointment confirmation email template per appointment type is planned for future development.
