Customizing, plugin or addons options?

Hi there,

I was asked by our clinic team to help them with the front-desk software, I been reading about it for the past few days, but I though asking here will answer my questions faster.

We are using some parts of the software for different proposes than what they were intended for, which make it somewhat limited. Now im trying to go around this problem but cant seems to find any customization options (such as renaming parts, add/remove custom fields) and I think there is no such advanced options?

Also I looked into doing some sort of plugin/add-on and also no luck?

So is there any way to integrate/customize the software?

Thank you for your first post.

Front Desk is a practice management system that has been developed over the past 20 years, with 100's of functions designed to run allied health practices. If you are trying to do something with it outside of this scope, it may very well not do what you want :). 

We have several approved interfaces such as Medicare/DVA Online, HICAPS, TYRO, WorkCover QLD, MailChimp, MAPI, MS Office OLE integration, Document Scanning, Camera, Barcode Scanning, Patient Booking Gateway, ICAL etc.

We don't have publicly accessible API's to access your data as we consider them a security risk, however there are options for us to provide private API's or customisation in some cases.

Hi Josie,

Sorry it took me long to replay, was really busy with something else. So what we using the Front Desk is exactly what it was designed for, however because we are a university (UniSA) we have few more needs to the tool in term of having a custom reports or having the student providing the service with a supervisor.

What I would like to know is, what should I do to get a read-only access to the database to generate custom report? this is to solve the report problem.

The other problem, I'm not able to explain very well as I haven't spent much time with the software yet, however it involves having 2 students looking 1 patent where the 2 student have a supervisor(or not). From what I understood form the team is that, the software doesn't support such a scenario so they doing it using other parts of the tool. Now do you know if there is a way to alternate the software to accept scenarios like that?
