Double appointment option for brief appointments

It would be very handy to be able to add 2 patients to one appointment slot when you only need to see a patient for 5 mins instead of the full appointment time. I realize that you could add a group appointment to do this but the names do not show up on the appointment book and to do this you need to delete the original book and change the time slot to a group booking a rebook both patients in. The other option is to change the template for the amount of time allocated to each appointment of the clinic eg 30mins to 15 mins but in 98% of case I need the 30 mins - never mind the fact that I cant simply change the template of our appointment book with out making a huge mess. If there was an option that you could added an extra appointment into a previously allocated time slot - this could shown up by a diagonal or half way separation of the appointment slot so that it is obvious  2 people are booked in to a single time slot? Of course this would only be available to people with full access to the appointment book?? It is to allow more flexibility for the practitioner to "squeeze" patient in if necessary.

Would be great. we sometimes have someone coming in just for a taping and they don't need the whole time slot but similarly we don't want to forget they are coming in. currently they get put into an another practitioners column who works that day but not that time. can be confusing for the patient with reminder emails telling them they are seeing a different practitioner doing it our current way

If you are regularly booking overlapping appointments for a practitioner, you could consider adding an additional appointment book column for the same person. This way you would be able to have your appointments side-by-side, and have the correct practitioner listed for both.

Please see our community guide to adding a practitioner column for more information. Repeating the 'Add' process from System Information will create multiple columns.

This is how our appointment book is set up.  It works perfectly for this.

Yes works for us the same way as well.  We have two columns per practitioner.  Can also put casual apt notes into the second column if needed.

I am not sure I understand this issue/question ... in that we have standard 40-minute app't slots for our osteopathy clients, but if we want to fit in (say) a couple of kids into a single 40-minute slot, giving them 20 minutes each, we simply add the first app't in the normal way, but set the time to 20 minutes there and then; then do the same for the second.   (The fact that we may take 15 mins with one and 25 mins with the other is glossed over, and doesn't seem to be a problem).
