DVA White Card Conditions

For DVA White Cardholders we need to record the condition treated when claiming. It would be great for a field to pop up next to the white or gold card field for the condition treated. As it stands I have to put this info in the notes section. Is there currently any other way?

Fantastic Idea.  It would be great for it to also automatically put the white care condition into the section on the medicare online process.  Sharon

Hi Lisa. Thank you for your post.

When using DVA Online claiming in Front Desk, while submitting a claim for white card holders, you will be prompted to list the condition being treated. This will be stored in Front Desk so that when you submit subsequent claims for the patient, the condition will be pre-filled. Of course the condition can still be changed if required.

If you are not already using the integrated Medicare & DVA Online claiming solution then you are certainly missing out. With this add-on, DVA claims can be submitted in a matter of seconds after the standard billing process Front Desk. More importantly, payment is generally received on the next day.

If you are not using the integrated online claiming, then the alternative is to store the condition in the injury field on the Billing Details tab. This will be listed on any invoices that you are printing or emailing through Front Desk.

Thanks Timothy. We don't use integrated online claiming, and your suggestion to use the injury field on the Billings tab will work for us. :)

We use the above 'injury' box under the Billings tab, and it seems to be included in online DVA claims as well.  Accounts paid without question.  :)
