Editing the HICAPS Code of an Item Code when on a computer that does not have HICAPS terminals connected?

Hi,

When we recently attempted to edit an incorrectly entered HICAPS code for the code T506., we couldn't located the white box to enter in our amended code. We eventually discovered that the option to enter a HICAPS code only appears on the two computers we have in our waiting area, where the HICAPS machines are connected. In the FrontDesk program on all the other computers in the building, this section appeared to be non-existent.

Is it at all possible for all computers to be able to edit or enter a HICAPS code, regardless of whether they are connected to a terminal? It would be fantastic if this could be done, as our accounts manager, general manager and business owner all have separate computers and occasionally have to adjust the HICAPS codes.

Hi Millie. Thank you for raising this with us. In an attempt to simplify things we have hidden these fields when not using a HICAPS or Tyro terminal. We accept that in large organisations that this may cause an inconvenience where you need to go to a machine with the HICAPS/Tyro terminal connected to make these changes, which is not ideal. 

We have a release coming out within the next few weeks that will address this matter.
