Front Desk - Pre-Release Upgrades (15 June 2018)

We are pleased to announce the following Pre-Release upgrades for the Front Desk suite of products. Pre-Release versions have gone through our full internal testing and quality assurance but limited or no external real-world live testing. Pre-Release builds are made available for users wanting the most up-to-date features available.

Front Desk software upgrades are downloaded from the Support section of the Smartsoft website.

Front Desk Practice Management System v18.1.6

On the Bill and Receipt windows, it’s now possible to search for items using their description or item code. On the Payment window, it’s now possible to override the payment date and time when allocating payments to outstanding invoices. On the Payment Type window, Front Desk now displays the amount remaining to be allocated as well as new right-click options to allocate the full or remaining amount to a Payment Type. 

Reports now print with Practice Group header overrides (if applicable) when filtering by practice group. This release also introduces the ability to add notes to stock items, to send email cancellation notifications for past appointments as well as several bug fixes.

If you are upgrading from version 18.0.0 or earlier, it is important that you familiarise yourself with information in the Front Desk Accounting Update March 2018 document before updating your system.

Front Desk Web Appointment Book and Insights Dashboard v7.0.4

Access to the Web Appointment Book can now be disabled per user via the Security area in Front Desk. We’ve also added the ability to send cancellation email notifications to practitioners when cancelling appointments.

Insights Dashboard has several new features including new ‘to date’ filters, a copy dashboard feature, the ability to view stock totals by dollar value, a ‘schedule’ breakdown option to the Billing Breakdown widget and practice group and report group filtering on the Appointment Report widget. We have also addressed several bugs. 

To provide the best possible user experience, Front Desk Insights Dashboard is no longer supported in Internet Explorer 11. We recommend using the latest version of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Apple Safari.

Front Desk Patient Booking Gateway v6.2.1

This version includes an updated statistics area in the admin portal and time zone support for the add to calendar feature for businesses with locations across multiple states. This can be configured per practice group in Front Desk.
