Front desk messenger - sound not working

I don't have any sound on messenger when I am receiving messages..

Hi Alan

In Front Desk 16.9.9 we have entirely rewritten the Front Desk Messenger to make it compatible with Front Desk Messenger for iPhone and iPad. 

Since receiving your post, we have noticed the default sound setting is not working. A temporary workaround for this is to set a custom sound.

The sound settings for Front Desk Messenger on desktop are controlled by clicking on the spanner icon and selecting the Sounds tab:

Uncheck the Default Message Sound option and select the ... icon to browse for a custom sound. Some alternate sounds can be found in Windows under:  C:\Windows\Media

We will ensure that the default sound in Front Desk Messenger is working correctly in the very next upgrade. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
