Frontdesk Next Production Version Timeline

Just to assist me to rationialise whether to load the pre-releases now, which have some things in that I'm pretty keen on, or wait till the next FrontDesk Production Release, I'm wondering if there was even a rough estimate of the next production version release timeframe? Not looking to rush you, and expecting any cast-iron guarantee.

Thank you for your question.  

Our software developers are continually working on new features and improvements to the product, so there is always a regular stream of updates being released. Before any versions of our software are released they are fully tested internally at Smartsoft. We have some users that are keen to get the latest updates as they become available and enjoy the process of being early adopters, while other don’t wish to update as often. Pre-release versions are posted about 15 times a year and Production versions about 6 times per year. Production versions have passed the test of use in hundreds of real-world installations over a month or so, but I can't offer any exact timeline.

Should an issue occur in a pre-release version (or any version) of the software we are always quick to investigate and resolve any problems. Generally issues are minor, and relate to more non-standard setups or workflows we hadn't envisaged during our testing process. If you are keen on a particular feature, and would be happy to upgrade again within a short period of time in the unlikely event of an issue – I would install the pre-release version today :)
