Image editor feature request

  • Under Consideration
I have an image on one of my treatment templates where I need to either tick or cross predefined areas (diabetes foot assessment). At the moment, I can put a cross but not a tick. And the weight of the cross cannot be increased to make it stand out. The problem is, in the context of the whole page, these tiny red crosses get kind of lost.

I'd love to have image stamps of a big red cross and and big green tick. Or if nothing else, the ability to change the default colour and weight of the crosses.

Hi Rebecca. Thank you for your feedback.

It is not currently possible to change the thickness of the stamps or to use a tick symbol, however you can change the pre-set stamps to other characters on a standard keyboard.

At this time you can only change stamp preferences when adding a Chart type clinical note. It cannot be changed in the Image Editor shown in your above screenshot but you will be able to use your modified stamps when using the Image Editor.

To set the stamps to your preference, open the Clinical Note tab of a patient file, select New Note and select Chart as below:

At the bottom of the clinical note window you will find the stamp tools. You can right click on any of the stamps and select Edit Stamps:

Here you can change the characters used for stamping. As an example, you could try using an upper case X which does increase the visibility of the stamp. You might also choose to use completely different characters.

At this time the stamp colour will revert to blue when closing the patient file, but can be changed when needed on the Clinical Notes tab by using the colour changer in the lower left of the Image Editor and the lower right of chart editor.

We are looking at making some enhancements in this area to allow you to edit stamps from the Image Editor and to allow you to set the default colour of stamps. We will also investigate the possibility of making the stamps bold.

We hope this helps!

Hi Rebecca and Timothy,

We are finding a similar problem. We use ticks a lot in our Physiotherapy notes to clear problem areas. I have found that symbols in general across the clinical notes are limited and difficult to work with. I haven't been able to find a way to insert a tick at all except for the check boxes which are too fiddly and limited for what we need. Is there anything I'm missing?

If not then I would like to suggest this area as an improvement to consider for future updates. Even if there was a specific symbols toolbar or section that allowed us to make easy shortcuts for each symbol. We need to be able to use ticks in general text, in tables and on images.

Kind regards,

Amy.
