Initial Consult Reports

Hi there

When we pull reports on our 'new' patients and who they were seen by, we've noticed that if a new patient was seen by one practitioner and then shortly after goes over to another practitioner the report we pull only shows them under the 2nd practitioner. I believe this is because on the general tab we change the practitioner field at the bottom to reflect who the patient's current practitioner is for billing purposes. Is there a way around this?

Teresa - we use the tracking categories to get around this.  So we have a tracking category "Joyaa too", and (say) "Teresa too", and so on for each practitioner.  
When we change the main practitioner from Joyaa to Teresa we add the tracking category "Joyaa too"
Then, when we use the "patient list" to report on our NPs, we can select on that tracking category.
We find this useful when we want to mail out to all clients how saw "John too" ... when "John" was (say) an osteopath who worked with us a year ago, and now we have a new osteopath and we want to mail all John's old clients to let them know we have a new practit. on board.  (Obviously this is written into John's contract otherwise he wouldn't be very happy with us).
