We are excited to announce that Front Desk now integrates with leading exercise prescription and Telehealth solution Physitrack.
Physitrack lets you:
  • prescribe stunning exercise programs
  • track patient outcomes in real-time (incl. 60+ outcome measures)
  • educate patients through 3D anatomical animations
  • have secure Telehealth video calls with your patients
Their free PhysiApp patient app not only offers patients a premium experience, but also helps them stay on track with their exercises to help them achieve better outcomes.

Thanks to this integration you can open your patients directly from Front Desk into Physitrack. Further, PDFs of prescribed exercise programs are automatically uploaded from Physitrack back into the patient’s clinical notes tab in the Front Desk, saving you hours each month.

The Front Desk Physitrack Integration User Guide can be downloaded by clicking here.

Front Desk users save 40% and pay only $8.99p/m to subscribe to Physitrack. To receive this discount, be sure to use discount code FD40 when signing up.

For more details on how to subscribe please visit www.physitrack.com. If your practice has 10+ practitioners, please contact Physitrack at sales@physitrack.com for a group account.

Hi Joyaa. This functionality is available in Front Desk v18.2.0, as outlined in the following article: https://community.smartsoft.com.au/smartsoft/topics/front-desk-pre-release-upgrades-25-september-201...

Thanks Timothy. Is there any indication as to when 18.2.0 will be given the "full release" stamp of approval?

It is not possible to provide a timeline for a production release. Production releases occur 3-4 times a year when we consider an upgrade to be sufficiently tested in the real world. We take great care in testing our software releases, however, Front Desk is used in a wide variety of IT environments and by a large number of users, all with individual configurations. If you don’t mind installing regular updates on your system, there’s probably no reason not to install the pre-release versions. For those that want to minimise the number of times they need to upgrade, we recommend installing the production versions when they become available.

Thanks Timothy. We fall into the last category and hence my question.

Hi Tim,
How do I get Frontdesk to use the existing Physitrack patient account?  When I go to a patient's clinical notes of a patient who has an existing Physitrack account and exercise program, then click on the Physitrack button, it creates a new account for them.

Also, I've also since deleted the new account but now when I click on the Physitrack button in the patient's file, it loads up Physitrack but says "First name can't be blank, Last name can't be blank".

Hi Justin. Once the integration is set up, any new patients that you add through the Front Desk integration will be created in Physitrack. Any patients that you have already added manually to Physitrack are unknown to Front Desk and at this stage the Physitrack API does not support linking them to an existing patient in a practice management system.

We don't recommend deleting patients in Physitrack that are linked to a patient file in Front Desk, as the link will be lost. If you can open a support case we can provide assistance on this occasion. In a future upgrade, we will introduce better handling if this scenario occurs.

Hi Tim, can you please confirm if a practitioner has multiple locations, and therefore multiple instances of Practitioner in Front Desk, do they require a Physitrack licence each?  The user guide states that it is per Practitioner so I'm assuming I'm correct.  All of our physios practice in multiple locations so for 6 active physiotherapists (users), we have 14 Practitioners because of multiple locations.

Hi Andrea. For clinical notes purposes, practitioners generally login with one user account, which is linked to a single practitioner file at one location. This is the practitioner file that is generally used to record clinical notes and the one that will be used for Physitrack purposes.

In the case that you do want to login as a different user at different locations, we are happy to setup the same Physitrack API key for the same practitioner working at different locations, however we don't think this is necessary in your case.

That's just filled in a gap in my knowledge of Front Desk.  Thanks.
