Is there any way of including phone numbers when printing up the day list? We print out the list the day before and have had a couple of power outages and then not been able to get into the computer to get the phone numbers of clients to cancel them. Also even with power it would just make it quicker to cancel appointments if the practitioner is sick.

That's a great idea, fabulous back up in case of the power issues.

Hi Tracey

Thanks for posting.  It isn't a current feature to include the phone number on the Day List, but it is an interesting idea.  You could add the phone number to the Appointment Notes to have it appear on the list, but I understand that is a bit of extra work. The intention of the Day List was more to provide a convenient list for practitioners to see their upcoming appointments, rather than an 'emergency backup'.

As an alternative the Future Appointments report will list the Patient Name, Appointment Time and the Phone Number, which may be suitable for your needs.

I have converted this post into an Idea so other users can now express their interest in having this added to the software.

My apologies, a correction to my previous post.  It IS possible to print a Day List with phone numbers, however not when grouped by practitioner.

If you deselect 'Group by Practitioner' from the Day List window, the report will detail the:
  • Patient Name
  • Appointment Type (abbreviated)
  • Address
  • Phone Numbers
  • File Number
  • Appointment Time
However it won't list the practitioner the booking is with.

Thanks for your reply. I think it would be more helpful if you could still group by practitioner so all the clients are not grouped together - makes it very confusing. Thanks for submitting it as an idea. Regards Tracey

We would definitely utilize this.  Our community based team do use the Web App however some print off a list with appointments for the day and a phone number would work well on here.

If you don't have the phone numbers and you're paperless you have a big problem. I think that this is necessary.  Otherwise you need a temporary battery backup for your whole computer, printer and EFTPOS terminal.
