Latest version and email of invoices

We have just completed the update to the latest version this afternoon and i note the new option for emailing a transaction at the point of billing!  Yeah i thought. So I sent a test invoice to myself, which was received.  Again Yeah!  But then in the transactions tab no Invoice has been raised.  Have I completed something incorrectly in the process?  Whilst being able to send an invoice directly at the point of billing is fantastic, not being able to re conciliate a payment with this does not make it useful.

We aren't aware of any issues regarding this new feature. We did add the ability to email a copy of the Receipt, Bill or Payment at the time of billing, however it has not changed how these items are recorded under Transactions. Much like how the 'Print' option works, it is a separate addition to the transaction process.
