Letter Tags: Ref Dr on Billings tab and need for Org and Address letter tags

Are there any letter tags that will pick up the referring doctor organisation and address details from the Billings tab if you aren't using the Medical Specialists tab? At the moment on a standard letter all it can pull through is the Dr name and provider number but no other details..

Thanks

Teresa

Hi Teresa,
Have you tried putting that same Dr's name under the Additional tab, then using tags like GPName, GPOrg, GPAdd1 etc.?

Is there any way some letter tags can be added to pick up all the information for the referring Dr in the Billings tab?  We have patients with multiple billing accounts (therefore multiple referrers) and writing letters back to the referrers would be much simpler if all of their details were pre-filled.

I'm surprised to read that referring Dr on Billings tab is not already tagged. Definitely a very good idea to do so.

There is one tag, but it is only the Referring Dr's name and provider number. :(

Hi Teresa. Thank you for your post. At this stage when you select a referring doctor on the billing details tab, their name and provider number are stored as a line of text. This line of text is then outputted when you use the ReferringDr letter tag. The selected referring doctor details on the billing details tab are not linked back to your list of GP/Referrers and their accompanying contact information.

We are planning a review of this area of the software following the release of a few high priority development items.

Hi Timothy, any updates for Letter Tags from Referring Doctor details from Billing Details tab? This would save on entering information twice (again under Additional tab).

Hi Karen. A review of the referring doctors area in Front Desk is still planned, but this has not reached the top of our development list. While we cannot provide an ETA, we will be sure to update this post when we have further information to provide.

Here is sample of my template and coding for our Physio EPC letter.

The practitioners love it and only have to include the bits about actual treatment.  Have also set up merge codes within the Workcover form.

The only things you need to make sure are correct are the : Doctor details for referring doctor are the same as doctor under Additional Tab
The Provider is the same as on general tab.
