Hi. I'm new to Frontdesk & have only just had training on clinical notes. I haven't had a chance to contact support & ask about writing letters to a referrer. Is there a simple process for writing a letter that incorporates the referrers details & relevant clinical notes.

Mark - first you will need to add/create a letter template. I don't have access to FD right now (Sunday evening) but I think it is in the drop-down from "System". In the letter template you can add what FD call tags from the right hand side. These include referrer's details but I doubt clinical notes per se (??). I suggest that you add a truck load of tags, then save your template (call it "test").
Then go to a patient file. Select the Billings details tab. Look for the "Letters" button - right hand side somewhere. Click on this and choose the template "test". The letter will populate with all the relevant data - assuming that you actually have entered this data (eg referrer) for this particular patient.
Hope this helps! Joyaa

Hi Mark

Joyaa always nails his responses, but I thought I’d add some screenshots to help guide you to the right sections in Front Desk.

First jump into the System menu and select Standard Letters

To view a list of available Letter Tags, select View at the top and then select Standard Letter Tags to bring up the full list on the right.

While you write your letter template, simply double click on a Letter Tag to insert it into your template. When you use this template from a mail merge or from a patient’s file the letter tags will autofill from the relevant field on the patient’s file
