Locking Clinical Note Attachments

Hi, we would like to suggest an option to lock attachments within the Clinical Notes section. We have a Multi Disciplinary team who need to have access to Clinical Notes, however our Clinical Psych requires the ability to lock some attachments for privacy reasons. I know you have this option in attachments already, so in Clinical Notes would also be useful. Thanks

Hi Kate

The Attachments area of Front Desk provides a good level of security in regards to who can and who cannot access an attachment.

If you add an attachment to a Clinical Note directly, anyone with access to that clinical note will also have access to the attachment. The access would instead be based on your Clinical Notes security, as configured in Practitioner > Clinical Notes > Security.

We haven't had any indication from other users that they need separate security for attachments within a clinical note, different to the security of the clinical note itself, but we are happy to monitor this thread for more feedback.

At this time if you do need different levels of security for your attachments I would suggest using the Attachments tab, rather than attaching to the clinical notes directly.
