Medicare/DVA tick box when creating new item code

I am currently creating new item codes for a new service and need to create the apprpriate medicare/dva codes as well. When making the new code, there is a tick box 'Medicare/DVA item' but it is greyed out so I cannot tick it... why would this be?

Hi Sarah

The Medicare / DVA Item Code option is only available on machines that have installed and enabled the Medicare / DVA Online Claiming option. 

This can be enabled from System Information as below:



If Medicare / DVA Online Claiming is not installed on your machine, please open a support case on our website for assistance: https://www.smartsoft.com.au/support/
