Medicare Online Claiming & Medicare Easyclaim - Service Degradation

31/7/2018 - 3:25 PM (ACST): The Department of Human Services has advised Smartsoft that Medicare Online and Easyclaim services are currently experiencing a degradation of service. This may affect the use of Medicare Online and Medicare Easyclaim integration within Front Desk. We will update this post with more information as it becomes available. 

LATEST UPDATE:
2/8/2018 - 2:59PM (ACST): The Department of Human Services has advised that the Medicare Online and Medicare Easyclaim services are now operating normally. Users can begin resubmitting any previously failed transmissions. Some users may still experience slow response times due to the backlog of transmissions. If so, please wait before resubmitting claims. 

Please note the Medicare Online and Medicare Easyclaim services are provided through the Department of Human Services. If you have concerns regarding the degradation of these services please contact Medicare on 1800 700 199.

Hi I am still having problems claiming online this morning, has the issue been resolved? Or do we have an expected time for it to be fixed? thank you

We haven't received any updates from the Department of Human Services and no estimated time was provided in the original notification. The degradation of service has not been confirmed as resolved and some users may still be affected.

1/8/2018 - 11:37 AM (ACST): We have been advised that the Medicare Online and Medicare Easyclaim services are still experiencing a degradation of service. 
The Department of Human Services has advised users DO NOT try to resubmit claims during slow response times. You will need to resubmit at a later time when services are fully restored.
