New client - gets DVA tab even if not DVA

We have noticed in our practice that when we put in a new client to front desk that they are automatically given a primary tab and a DVA tab - regardless of if they are a DVA or not. Have we ticked a wrong box somewhere -  can someone help?

Hi Tracey

This would be due to your Standard Account settings.

Under the Standard Accounts tab in System Information, open the Accounts sub-tab.

I expect you will have a 'DVA' account listed, which has been set to automatically be created for new patients. 

You can change this by selecting the account then clicking Edit.

Now deselect the Auto-create for new patients option, then click Close.

When adding new patients this account will no longer be created automatically, but the 'DVA' account option will still be available when adding a billing account manually.
