.... just wondering if there is a way of allowing practitioners to easily see reports / letters that need attending to from the diary?.....Currently we have headings in the DAY NOTES such as legal reports, letters to doctors, medicare letters, treatment plans etc and then list practitioner initials with patient names for any letters / reports that need to be done. Thus if the practitioner has a cancellation or some spare time, they can see what needs to be done at a glance. This works ok but is a little cumbersome. I was wondering whether there might be a way of linking this info to the appointment book from the clients file so that each practitioner easily knows what paperwork needs to be done and they can prioritise accordingly. We try to be as paperless as possible so all report requests are scanned in to the CN, all letters and plans are done electronically and our practitioners do not have a physical "in-tray"
Once the report has been done the practitioner will mark the note on the DAY NOTES with some asterisks so that reception staff know to either print and post or email. Once this has been done it gets deleted from the list.
As we do a GP letter for each new condition and SA workcover are requiring more treatment plans this is becoming more cumbersome.
It would be awesome if this process could be streamlined.....or any suggestions for a more user friendly process??
