Online Booking - To ask which health fund client is with.

It would be helpful if the online booking system has a step where we ask which health fund the new client is with. This should only apply for new clients who book online.

It's usually defaulted to Private health and the prices vary for different health funds. We have to take extra precautions to make sure the correct health fund is selected to avoid charging the wrong price.

Thank you for your suggestion.

Generally clients are required to fill out a patient intake form when first attending the practice. From the information you gather on this form, things like fee category (private, Medicare, WorkCover etc) and health fund information are gained and should be updated on patient file. This pertains to patients who have made their initial booking online or those that have made bookings over the phone and are attending the practice for the first time.

To assist with this situation, we will shortly be working on a digital patient intake form that will collect some of this additional information for you, either online or in the waiting room, perhaps on a tablet device. The information provided by the patient would then go directly into Front Desk.
