Option to be able to set default item codes services booked through web booking gateway

Would you consider having the option to be able to set item codes for each service able to be booked through web booking gateway - currently the web booking gateway always picks up the practitioner's default billing code which is for treatment.

If a patient books into a group exercise class, the default billing code for the practitioner running the class is also used even though the actual billing code is completely different.

Perhaps you would be able to include these options in the group booking similar to setting max group booking numbers or alternatively in the booking gateway configuration area?

Hi Rachel

You are able to do this in the latest version of Front Desk (16.5.2) and the Patient Booking Gateway (3.1.0).

Appointment types can now be linked to item codes for this purpose, so all you need to do is ensure your group bookings in Front Desk are assigned the correct appointment types.

Once the correct appointment type is assigned to a group booking, you will then need to assign the item code to the appointment type. This is accessed in System Information > Appointment Book > App Types.

Once you have selected an appointment type and clicked 'Edit', you will see a Patient Booking Gateway tab which will allow you to assign the corresponding item code per practitioner.


When patients are booking online, the correct item code will be assigned to their appointment. 

This applies for both individual and group bookings.
