patient booking gateway date range

In the PBG, it seems the search in a specific date range functionality has been removed.

Could you please add this back in?

If a patient is looking for an appt in 2 or 3 weeks, it doesn't make sense to show them appts in the preceding weeks.

The date function at the moment seems to only allow patients to search for 1 specific date at 1 specific time which is too much of a refinement to be practical.

Thanks,

Hi Rachel. The Patient Booking Gateway offers 3 date/time search methods:

1. Next available appointments (your 3 next available times)
2. Search for a specific time (as in your screenshot). If the patient's specific time is not available, nearby alternates will be offered.
3. If there are no nearby times available, the 'Expand your search' option is shown (see below):

Hi Tim,
I've also had complaints from a few clients over the last few weeks that they didn't like the new interface and had trouble getting it display a range of dates for appointments. Until just now I didn't understand what their issues were but I think I can see the problem - the expand search option isn't there to chose upfront which is their preferred option. These clients have stopped using the gateway now which is not ideal.
Can we get choice '3' as per your post one of options in Rachel screenshot to make it easier to access?

Hi Tim,

Yes, Adam is right, the expand option is not there unless their specific time is not available.

Could you look at having all 3 options available at the first stage of appt selection to remove the need for them to select a specific date/time only to find out it is not available.
Then have to put in a date range for 2 or 3 weeks away.

We have had numerous patients comment on this thinking there was no availability to suit them for both appts and classes and it is turning them away/off from using the PBG which is disappointing as it is a great service to offer.

Thanks

Hi Adam and Rachel. We're happy to consider further refinements to the booking process based your feedback.

The new search method has been introduced based on feedback from our users requesting that patients be able to search at a specific time. For the majority of Gateway users, the specific time search will offer appropriate suggestions to patients on the first attempt and therefore provide greater convenience for your patients. If the patient's preferred time is not available, they are advised of this and the expand your search option is immediately presented to them. We also believe that this provides greater clarity to patients as they understand that their preferred time is not available and they know to search at another time or expand their search.

Thanks Tim. It seems a significant proportion of our patient's just see the 2 options and don't like either of them not realizing that the 2nd option will give them the ability to expand the search. Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Timothy,

I think both search options would tick everyone's boxes.

Hopefully this will be implemented in the next update.

Thanks again for taking the feedback on board. Literally have a Pilates class going on right now and the updated PBG options are a hot topic of discussion with the majority of class members being confused or feeling limited by the new way it works.
