When a patient receives an appointment reminder and responds with a thumbs up emoji to indicate they are coming, we receive a response in FD as two question marks?? This is confusing as it would appear that the patient doesn't understand the message, when they are actually just acknowledging it.

We specifically ask patient to reply "Yes" - it doesn't always work, but it's minimised the issue

Hi Goran. The Front Desk SMS reply path does not currently support emoji. We're happy to investigate what can be done in this area as a low priority item.

Thanks Timothy, even if the response came up as a "yes" or a ":)", something that indicates that the person is confirming their intention to come, rather than question marks.
