It would be great if there could be an option to set a default which allows all clients to have their mobile numbers set to preferred number, so that we don't have to do it manually for each new client we set up. Thanks!
Hi Joanna. Our thinking on this is that if no number is set as preferred, then you use your office policy regarding which number is the patient's preferred number, in your case their mobile number. We don't believe the preferred number is used in any letter tags or anywhere else in Front Desk that makes it important to actually set this field.

When set to Preferred, the 'preferred' number will display in the Appointment Notes section of an appointment on the Web/PDA view only versions of FD that our practitioners use. They often need client phone numbers to contact them when they are out of the office, and so this feature is really essential.
It would be great to have the option to set it automatically if possible.
(There is also a current glitch in your system which means that the Preferred Number setting does not save first time round. You need to close and reopen a client file, reset the preferred number, and then it will save. I have spoken to your team about this and they were able to replicate the problem, which means hopefully that it will get fixed soon)
