Report for Clients with no Referral

Hello

Is it possible to pull a report that would show for new patients added the ones who are missing referral information? It would be really helpful when doing a clean up of our data and making sure we capture everything we need to.

The referral report seems to give me patients where there is data but doesn't show 'blanks'. And exporting the patients via Patient List, gives you their demographics and billing fields but not their referral info?

Can anyone help..

Thanks

Teresa

Hi Teresa

There is currently no report designed to find new patients without a referral in place. If you are aware at the time of creating a new patient file that they are missing their referral information (or any other details), you could perhaps use Tracking Categories to keep track of these patients.

For example if you created a tracking category of 'Missing Referral', and were to add patients into that category when they are first created and missing a referral, you could use the patient list later to find those patients.

As always we are happy to gauge interest in an idea if others would like to see this feature added in the future.

hi Andrew

Thank you for your reply, they problem we face is human error in not entering the referral in the first place. So it seems that this is probably a good direction to head in terms of helping practices keep their data accurate via some kind of reporting that deals with omissions. I hope LOTS of other people agree :) so you guys can do something.

Cheers

We have created an 'Unspecified Referrer' file to add to these ones.  When a patient calls to book we ask them the referring doctors name - if they don't know or it's a new referrer, we use the Unspecified Referrer.  Therapists then have to change it when the referral comes through, and if they don't we chase them up as it prints on the reports.
