Reverse Order of New Account Tabs

Is it possible to either have the Tabs of any addition accounts that are made, reversed so that the latest one is first after the primary? An alternative is that all accounts that are active are first followed by accounts that  are no longer active.  This would be very helpful for us rather than having to troll through inactive accounts to the end to find an account that is active.

Hi Celia

Generally this has not been a problem for others as over term of a relationship with a patient there would typically be no more than 3 accounts per patient file (often just one) e.g. A private account and one or two WorkCover/MVA accounts.

How are you using multiple accounts and typically how many accounts do your patients have? Can you post an image of an example while obscuring the patient details?

Though this change looks simple, and we are committed to the ongoing development of the product, any change takes up the resources of our programmers and diverts them from other priorities. For example, we are currently working on the Xero integration.

When an idea gets posted, we generally look for interest from other users and that's why we haven't replied earlier, though we haven't ruled out this functionality at this time.

We use a different account each time an Acc form is filled out.  This way we can track exactly how many visits a client has had on a claim as Acc only allows a certain number of treatments per claim.  When a client has been attending for a number of years they can amass a large number of claims as per the picture.  It would be nice if the latest created account was next to the primary account not down the other end as you can see in the picture.

Thank you for providing extra details Celia. It appears that you are using the multi-account functionality in a way that we had not intended. We would recommend that you only use one ACC account per patient and that the treatment plan functionality is used to track the number of allocated treatments. Each time you fill out an ACC form, you can update the treatment allocation on the existing treatment plan.

The only time you would have an additional ACC account would be if the patient has a bona fide separate claim for another injury.

You're also creating additional work for yourself each time you create a new account as you need to copy over the claim details each time.

At this stage all we can do in monitor this suggestion, but I feel that it might not be an issue for other users.

Hi there Timothy These are bona fide separate claims for another injury.  They are separate claims with totally different claim numbers, accident dates and injury sites with a certain number of visits allowed to be claimed per injury.  We cannot possibly use the same account . To keep them separate is the best way we can monitor the amount of visits they have had per claim.  Once the claim is no longer valid i.e we have claimed the total number of treatments that has been allocated to that injury or 12 months has expired,  we then make the account inactive.  Works really well for us.  We would just like the tags the other way around so that active accounts appear first.  Seems very logical to have active accounts visible and non-active accounts not.

Hi Celia. After reviewing your responses, it is clear that the insurance claiming processes in NZ and Australia are different. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. An enhancement in this area to better manage multiple account tabs has been approved and will become available in a future Front Desk release.

Hi Celia. It is now possible to edit the order of accounts on the billing details tab in Front Desk 16.9.9.
