Separate files for Solicitors similar to Drs

We have a large list of Solicitors, as well as Insurance companies in our client files that we just preface with SOL - or INS - so we can find them easily.
I would love it if we could have a separate tab that was just for Solicitors or Insurance companies similar to the Doctor tab - does anyone else think this is a good idea?

Hi Mandi,
How about using a tracking category for each of these instead of using a prefix? Then you can report on them, find them, list them etc easily.
Best, J.

Thanks Joyaa - I'll have a go and see how it looks - it's more that when we are adding them in under the billings tab, it would be good if we didn't have to type in SOL or INS and then scroll through to find them - I'm just being lazy :-)

Nought wrong with wanting to get the system to work for you. ;)

One advantage of entering Solicitors, Insurers details as if they were patients is that the patient dataset has more features than any other for searching, reporting, adding events etc.

If you were to have something similar to the Dr/Medical Referrer dataset, you would lose all of that, and more. (I think of the Dr / Medial referrer dataset as a bit like a clunky old bicycle with half a brake; in contrast to the patient dataset, which has a gleaming engine, and gets excellent, regular services [i.e. updates] at the garage!)

That is very true - I'll just put up with it as it is!
