Showing missed appointments

A patient misses an appointment and then rebooks later in the day, is seen and pays. Can the original missed appointment remain in the original colour on the appointments window, show up in the appointments tab in yellow as a missed appointment and counted as a missed appointment in the appointments - statistics tab?

The process used to update appointments to the 'processed status' (where the colour changes to white, and the appointment is counted as processed/attended) uses a fuzzy logic where if there is an item billed for that patient, with the practitioner they have been booked to see on that day, it is considered 'processed'.

This logic works because billings can be madeĀ outside of the appointment book (directly through the patient file), and are not always made at or near the time of the appointment itself. This is the best (automatic) logic we have which doesn't require the user to manually mark each appointment as billed.

While this fuzzy logic works well for the majority of cases, we are open to a better process if one exists.

We're in the same boat on this one as we bill a fee after the second missed appointment - this gets missed if they have rebooked on the same day.
