Tracking Referrals & New Patients

I would like to generate a report each month that tells me how many new patients we received, and who referred them, in order of practitioner with patient numbers. I can use the appointment filter in the patient list report to find out how many new patients we had - but I cannot get a report of their 'referrers'. The only way I can see would be to look up each patient file individually.

When doing the report for referrers, it let's you choose an item code, item group or even practitioner but it does not let you filter this by appointment type. Our assessment consults are used on existing patients for new problems, this means it includes anyone that was seen... rather than just new patients.

Is there a way to generate the list of referrers, for patients seen in a certain time, with the option to filter by appointment type?

Thanks heaps, Sarah Crowe

Hi Sarah. The purpose of the Patient Referrals report is to identify referrers and the income they have generated for the practice within a period of time. Based on your specific requirement, there is no standard report that can be produced in Front Desk to show the information you're after. It is possible for our programming team to develop a custom report on a time billed basis that can meet your requirements. If you would like further information about this option, you're welcome to contact the Business Care team at: www.smartsoft.com.au/contact

I think there might be a more general demand for reports like this Timothy.  Is there a way that we can poll users about this idea?
