Treatment Plan Report filtering

We are using Treatment Plans more consistently for EPC's, NDIS, workcover etc.  It's a fantastic feature, however, the Treatment Plan Report doesn't allow us to manage them in an efficient way.  The Alert is great at the time of billing, however, to be able to run this report at the end of each month to ensure compliance with things such as letters written to GP's, new plans written etc would be so useful if the filtering worked in a useful way.

I am unable to filter the Treatment Plan Report by clinic, despite that being an option in the dialog box.  I understand that the values that are returned in the report, update based on which location is chosen, however, this is only useful if a treatment plan has a transaction.  We have many cases for example where we receive EPC paperwork from a GP directly and so we put that in as a treatment plan in case the patient decides to book with us during that 12 month period, but often, the patient does not use their plan.  So we have multiple plans with no transaction, and no way for me to say to each clinic's administrator, "make your old unused treatment plans inactive so they are then removed from the active treatment plan report" (as an example).  I also can't ask my individual clinic administrators to run a report at the end of each month to ensure compliance with tasks related to a treatment plan as the patients reported on are for all clinics.

It would be a more beneficial report if the figures were updated, AND, the report was filtered by location/practitioner etc.  If this is not achievable, then can the Practitioner please be included in the Export?

Hi Andrea. Thank you for your feedback. I can confirm that the treatment plan report is working as designed. Currently, treatment plans are allocated to a patient, not to a specific practitioner or location. Without billing a transaction, we can't associate a practitioner to the treatment plan. It does appear that you would like some extra functionality and you make some good suggestions, so I have changed your post to an Idea for discussion by the community.

In the meantime, what I can suggest is adding a location abbreviation to the account name, which will display on reports to assist you in identifying the location that needs to review that patient’s file.

We are also happy to consider adding the patient’s default practitioner to the treatment plan export, which would allow you to sort/filter the list of patients in Excel, assisting you in identifying the location that needs to review the patient’s file.

Thanks Tim.  I understand your response.  It would be preferable for us to be able to export the default practitioner to manage this as we need.  Thanks again.

Hi Andrea. The default practitioner is included in the export of the Treatment Plan report in Front Desk v19.0, which is available to download at www.smartsoft.com.au/support
