Using a tablet for general admin

Great we can all communicate on this forum now. I have a question? Is anyone using Frontdesk on a Microsoft Surface Pro  or from a tablet?

Yes I am. I totally ignored SmartSoft's advice to NOT use the surface pro & wish I had listened!!! the touch screen is a pain to type notes with, adding the keyboard makes it clumsy when changing rooms & if it gets closed too far, puts the unit to sleep & knocks me off the network & so I have to waste time logging in between each patient. I ended up leaving the tablet in 1 adjusting room with the keypad and a mouse attached and effectively using it as a desktop unit (and buying an ultrabook for the other adjusting room). But it's small & I need to use my reading glasses which are a pain putting on/off so I can see the screen & then also see the patients clearly. My advice is to listen to SmartSoft's advice on this. :-)

We love our gadgets, but it is often about choosing the best tool for the job. Tablets are excellent devices for viewing information, but for entering information (clinical notes, letters etc.) they do fall short compared to a suitable laptop or desktop machine.
