Hi Danielle.  Thank you for your post.

Xero integration is confirmed on the development list and will be coming shortly.  Some more information can be found by following the link below.

We have full Icalendar support for Apple Mac's and iPhones/Ipads.

Front Desk is a native Windows application however you can run it on a Mac in 1 of 3 ways.

  • Boot your Mac into windows at startup using Bootcamp.  Mac's make very good Windows machines.
  • Run a Windows emulator like Parallels or Fusion within you Mac operating system.
  • Connect to a remote Windows PC or Server (say Windows 2012R2 in the cloud) and use the free application called MS Remote Desktop client (also called RD Client) to connect.  This also works with IPhone and IPad.
I will try to get someone from our team make a general post about running on Mac's.

Note there is a growing number of browser based PMS applications current coming on the market, which have the advantage of running on any device that can host a compatible browser, such as Apple. However, desktop applications like Front Desk generally perform better, have more functionality and allow you to connect to important external interfaces such as HICAPS, TYRO Health Point, document scanners, Medicare/DVA Online etc.  We currently have some specialised web interfaces such as the Web Appointment Book and Patient Booking Gateway (that can both run on an Apple device) for functionality we believe should be in a browser.
